Blueberry Banana Muffins

In Love at Midnight
Hello everyone,

I was feeling a little extra Betty Crocker today so I decided to make some blueberry banana muffins.

Ingredients

1 blueberry packet (okay, I may have cheated a little)
1/4 cup of blueberries
2 ripe bananas
1/2 of almond milk
4 tablespoons of heavy cream

Since the dry ingredients already game prepackaged, all I needed to do was add the wet ingredients. I first grabbed the fruits to prep them. The bananas were extremely ripe so all I had to do was mash them in a bowl. Grab about 1/4 of blueberries and cut them in half ( it will help them mesh with the batter). I added about 4 tablespoons of heavy cream and 1/2 of almond milk. After ingredients are added to the dry ingredients go ahead and mix them all together. I them sprayed a 24 min cupcake pan with PAM and set the oven to 425 degrees. Once filled, bake for about 7 to 9 minutes.
Quick tip: use a toothpick to poke in the center of the muffin and if it comes out clean, they are properly cooked. Make sure to let them cool after pulling them out if the oven.

Autumn Days

In Love at Midnight
Don't you love how fall feels? Well, I'm not going to lie, it feels like summer year round in LA. This new season has definitely forced me to do some soul searching. If I had to choose a theme song to explain my thoughts for this past weekend, it would be "This Little Light of Mine". I can't stress the importance of having positive influences around you. We live in a world that stresses the importance of following your dreams, but when we try to follow them we begin to realize that we may not have the support that was entrusted to us from the beginning. There's a verse in "This Little Light of Mine" that states, "Hide it under a bushel - NO! I'm going to let it shine". This song is said to be inspired by a phrase from Matthew 5, stating we should let our light be praised and available for all to see. It is our job to figure out ways to reach our full potential and to never let anyone dim our light. Happy Monday.

As Summer Ends Fall Begins (RayBan Dupe)

I've found the perfect Ray Ban dupes. These cuties are a 90 percent match. About 3 months ago, I went to Nordstrom and found the most gorgeous pair of polarized Ray Bans for about $200. Don't get me wrong, that's still a good price for a pair of sunnies, but with my history (losing, breaking, forgetting about them etc.) it just wasn't going to happen. I stopped by the BP section in Nordstrom at the Grove and ran across these polarized babies. Not only are they $12 but are chic and look extremely expensive. Hurry up and go and grab a pair; I promise you they will sell out fast, if they haven't already.

Motivational Monday

In Love at Midnight
I hope your Monday is starting off successful.  It's our job as human beings to inspire those around us daily. We live in a world that focuses on negative qualities, therefore cluttering our minds. Negative things happen all the time and it's our job not to internalize them, but figure out ways to react to them positively.  As Martin Luther King Jr. once said "The ultimate measure of a man is not where he stands in moments of comfort and convenience, but where he stands at times of challenge and controversy." As you move toward with this week remember to maintain a positive soul, in order to create positive goals that allow you to attain positive roles. Happy Monday.
